      Concert #3 The Chopin Project is thrilled to present internationally acclaimed pianist Inna Faliks in a special performance of POLONAISE-FANTASIE" THE STORY OF A PIANIST, a critically acclaimed international success the hybrid of a piano recital and an autobiographical monologue, which Inna considers the most personal project she has ever done. Inna Faliks is a spellbinding Ukrainian-born pianist with a glowing international reputation. Her story chronicles her lifes path: her familys emigration to America, her seminal early influences and her evolution as an artist. And its also her love story, as she is reunited as an adult with the childhood friend who is now her husband. Each chapter of her saga dramatically narrated by Inna alternates with a beautifully played masterpiece that is closely connected to her life story from childhood onward. Music and words combine to spin a powerful and moving tale. Music by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Freidlin, Mozart, and Paganini-Liszt Words by Inna Faliks. ABOUT THE ARTIST Adventurous and passionate (The New Yorker) Ukrainian-born American pianist Inna Faliks has established herself as one of the most exciting, committed, communicative and poetic artists of her generation. A Yamaha Artist and current professor and head of piano UCLA, Faliks has made a name for herself through her commanding performances of standard piano repertoire that have taken her around the world to some of the most esteemed venues. Faliks genre-bending interdisciplinary projects and inquisitive work with contemporary composers has earned her additional acclaim from The Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, Lucid Culture and Audiophile Audition. Faliks is also the founder and curator of the award winning poetry-music series Music/Words, creating performances in collaboration with distinguished poets as well as conducting masterclasses and traveling to Artist Residencies in major conservatories and universities around the world.
